Construction of the new plant begins in 2022. Requiring an investment of $40 million, Groupe Lebel is proud of this state-of-the-art plant! A plant that operates 24/7 on a rotating schedule that's different from what we're used to.

Intended for European markets, the pellets are made from 100% wood, using co-products generated in large quantities by Groupe Lebel. This environmentally-friendly product will prevent the emission of some 30,470 t of CO2 equivalent per year. That's like taking 8,900 cars off the road every year!

The plant generates around 25 direct jobs. Multi-skilled operators are trained in-house. Wheel loader and heavy truck operators are needed for operations, as are mechanics and electrical technicians.
