YOUR BIG RESPONSABILITIES
Committed to a top performance in a safe work environment
Responsible to complete material receipts and inspect the condition of all incoming purchase orders to ensure the orders are complete as per the purchase order requirements and follow up with vendor if there are any discrepancies.
• Research suppliers of goods and services
• Gather quotes, proposals, and purchase terms and conditions
• Execute the purchase of goods or services approved by management
• Track inventory and submit purchase orders as needed. Ensure physical inventory count corresponds with inventory management system and make the required adjustments
• Responsible to run and execute weekly re-order report
• Responsible to put away all incoming purchase orders
• Responsible to run weekly expedite report and follow up with suppliers on undelivered orders
• Responsible to perform other duties as requested by your supervisor
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs as required / climb ladders / work on your feet for extended periods etc
Performs other duties as assigned to be deemed in the best interest of the organization
Communication - oral and written abilities are needed to build and sustain supplier relationships.
• Computers - use of procurement software systems
• Critical analysis - the ability to understand company standards and apply them.
• Mathematics - numbers and financial forecasting are second nature to specialists.
• Organization - the ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks at once.
• Problem-solving - a knack for analyzing challenges and exploring all possible solutions.
• You can adapt to unforeseen situations and a good ability to work under pressure.
REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS AND ASSETS - TECHNICAL KNOLEDGE AND GENERIC SKILLS
• High school diploma
• A bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or a similar field preferred.
• Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing and resource planning systems.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
