Global Mission of the position
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will participate in working with a growing and highly motivated team in a fast-paced environment.

BIG RESPONSABILITIES
• Perform welding and fabrication on sawmill machinery, including conveyors, saw frames, and structural components
• Inspect equipment for wear, cracks, and damage
• Conduct preventative maintenance and emergency repairs
• Read and interpret blueprints, and technical drawings
• Operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick) safely and effectively
• Cut and shape metal parts using torches and other tools
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot issues
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Heavy lifting and physical labour required
• Follow all safety regulations and company procedures
• Other jobs and duties pertaining to welding
REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS AND ASSETS - TECHNICAL KNOLEDGE AND GENERIC SKILLS
• High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school training preferred
• Journeyman welding certification
• 3-5 years of experience as a welder, ideally in a sawmill, or heavy industrial environment
• Basic mechanical or millwright knowledge
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• candidate to undergo interview/screening process
